Happy Ha’atzmaut (Independence Day) 2018! In Israel the celebration begins this evening at sunset, Wednesday April 18, and ends at sunset the evening of Thursday April 19.

A very dear friend of mine in Israel let me know that today, Iyar 3 (April 18), is Memorial Day, and at sunset we begin Iyar 4 (April 19).
The celebrations in Israel begin tonight for Independence Day according to the Hebrew calendar, and continue on through Iyar 4 tomorrow and then on through the year until Yom Teruah.
I just listened to the haTikvah (Israeli National Anthem) and sobbed deeply from my spirit. I saw pictures of our homeland, a place I called home from 1999 when I first visited it. I’ve been there about 50 times, and to Jerusalem about 120 times by my calculations, yet I am not there now, and so I weep with deep tears of sadness. I miss our homeland so much, and I miss my friends there. Oh how I long to be there with them!
This evening begins the year-long celebration of what happened on the Gregorian date of May 14, 1948. You can enter in by touching Yahuwah’s heart with worship.
Today, get somewhere quiet and listen to the Ha Tikvah, with pictures of Israel. You Tube has many such presentations. Just put Ha Tikvah in google and you’ll find many options for listening. Israel is our homeland forever. This is where we will dwell with Yahushua for 1,000 years, and then with Yahuwah and Yahushua for eternity.
Psalm 132:13-14: “For Yahuwah has chosen Zion. He has desired it for His dwelling. `This is My place forever. Here I dwell, for I have desired it.’
The Psalmists speaks of what is now called East Jerusalem, the City of David area, the real Zion south of the Temple Mount. This little portion of land is where He is focusing. It is where His heart is today. This tiny area is also where the enemies of Israel and of Yahuwah are focusing on today. But, it is where Abba’s eyes are focusing on today – “the apple of His eye.”
Excerpts from Zechariah 2:3-8: “For I Myself am to her’ declares Yahuwah `a wall of fire all around and for esteem I am in her midst’ … Oh Zion! …he who touches you touches the apple of My eye.’ ” Today Israel celebrates in the midst of threats from Iran.
Psalm 122:6-9: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem/Yerushalayim. Let those who love You be at rest. Peace be within your walls and rest in your citadels! For the sake of my brothers and companions I say `Peace be within you.’ For the sake of the House of Yahuwah our Elohim, I seek your good.”
Celebrate with Israel, but also contemplate and meditate the Word, pray for Israel, for soon we will be there with the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!
