I told Pastor that it was probably the finest message I’d ever heard on Faith, and I meant that. I’ve lived that kind of faith for many years, and Lamentations 3:21-26 is for sure: “Great is Your faithfulness!”
This YouTube video will help you know a little more about the kind of faith I teach in articles and podcasting. It will certainly edify and strengthen you in your walk with the Master. It will amplify the most important message that I stress: Our faith lies in what Elohim (Father and Son) has said. What They say They do.
Abba Yahuwah is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and what He says and He begins, He will finish. Abba Yahuwah told Yahushua to “go to the other side.” Thus, Yahushua, obedient to His Father, as we must be, led His disciples to set off from Capernaum in their boat and head south towards the area of Gadera, for the purpose of delivering that man.
Listen carefully. Hebrews 12:1: “Looking unto Yahushua, the Author and the Finisher of our faith.” What He starts, He finishes. Isaiah 55:8-11: What goes out of the mouth of Yahuwah never returns to Him empty, but accomplishes what He sent it to do. “We walk by faith, not by sight.” (II Corinthians 5:7)
Our faith rests peacefully in the absolute faithfulness of Yahuwah and Yahushua that what They say will happen, if we continue to put our faith in Their ability to make it happen.
During the message, I was smiling and saying “amen” and “HalleluYah.” For one reason because I was visualizing Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) in one of those storms that I experienced one day from Tiberias. The storm in the Bible took place on the other side, across from Tiberias, near Bashan/the Golan Heights, and was even stronger over there. In those storms, the wind whips around the lake like liquid in a blender. But He said “we go to the other side,” and He went to sleep in the boat, knowing that they would reach the other side because His Father said so.
In 2002 and 2013, I was in Gadera (North Jordan). It is just above where North Jordan and Israel connect, the place where Laban and Ya’cob made their Covenant in Genesis 31.
From Gadera, I looked down towards the south end of the Lake from the hill on which Gadera sits. Along the slope, there are deep underground tombs with steps going down into them. It was there that the demon-possessed man lived. He would have seen the boat approaching the shore.
In 2002, while I was living in southern Jordan, I stayed in Gadera for the anniversary of my 51st year of being born again – May 13, 2002. Outside of my hotel room an Egyptian man by my door sleeping to protect me since I was the only non-Jordanian in the town, and the only one in the hotel. I had come by bus into Irbid, and then took a taxi to Gadera. During that evening, Abba told me about that man – who he was, and why Messiah told him to go and tell of his deliverance in the Decapolis (10 cities in what is now North Israel and Syria).
In speaking to my pastor about what Abba showed me, she said that He had also spoken to her about that man. What unity we have when we are taught by the Spirit of Yahuwah!
I know this message and Derek’s closing comments will greatly bless you, and edify you to go forward in total faith in the One who calms the raging sea and gets us where we’re going. There is no greater solid ground on earth than putting faith in what Yahuwah and Yahushua have told you They will do for you, both in the Word and spoken to you personally! Please share with me what most reached your spirit and strengthened you in this message.
