Letter with new moon report for Aviv

Cloudy sky over Jerusalem. The new moon for Aviv was not sighted by any witnesses from Jerusalem. So, by default, tomorrow night at sunset, April 3rd, we begin the new month of Aviv, new year of the Festival calendar.
Tomorrow, 30th day of Adar Bet, at evening we enter Aviv. Counting 14 days, we come to the eve of April 17th sunset, for Passover Seder. This begins the 15th day, which begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread for 7 days.
Passover symbolizes the death of Messiah. The 7 days of Unleavened Bread pictures His burial. During this time, on the following Saturday at sunset begins First Fruits, which pictures His resurrection.
Messiah was nailed to the stake on a Wednesday, dying just before sunset as the 15th of Aviv began, and Passover was celebrated. He cried out His last words before offering up His life by saying “IT IS FINISHED.” He had paid for our sin. He descended into the heart of the earth into Paradise announcing His victory to His people. This would be the area of East Jerusalem. Since He died in East Jerusalem, He didn’t have to go far – just enter one of the three portals there that are below heaven’s throne room.
At this identical time of His death, in the Temple, the High Priest was slaying the Passover lamb, crying out “IT IS FINISHED.”
Then on Saturday evening, at the close of Shabbat, as the sun set, Messiah rose from the dead. He rose from the dead as First Fruits began, “early on the 1st day of the week,” which began Sunday. REMEMBER, as per Genesis 1, Yahuwah’s days begin at sunset.
So, “early on the 1st day of the week,” was after sunset Saturday night as Sunday began. As Messiah said over and over, no sign would be given to Israel except the sign of the Prophet Jonah who was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the whale – 72 hours. Thus, Messiah was in the heart of the earth for 72 hours – Wednesday at sunset to Saturday at sunset.
The seven Festivals of Yahuwah picture the complete Plan of Salvation (Leviticus 23) from Messiah’s death for us, to His burial, then His resurrection on First Fruits, His giving us the Spirit of Yahuwah, and the season of His second coming.
Fifty days from First Fruits, always on a Sunday, we come to another Sunday – Pentecost Sunday, or Shavu’ot, which pictures the infilling of Yahuwah’s Spirit (Acts 2) of those who have been born-again, redeemed, by Messiah’s death in our place for our sins, and His resurrection for our eternal life.
Then in the Fall of the year, September-October, there is Festival #5, Yom Teruah, the blowing of shofars and shouting, then #6, which is Yom Kippur, the “Day of Atonement,” on which day Messiah will return. Then we have the 8 days of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) which is when Messiah and His Bride are married, coming out of the wedding chamber on the 8th day for the “marriage feast.” This takes place on earth. From His death to His wedding: Leviticus 23 – 7 Festivals.
Exodus 12:2 tells of the adding of a second calendar to mark the path of the 7 Festivals, beginning in Aviv, beginning with Passover. “This month is the beginning of months FOR YOU. It is the first month of the year FOR YOU.” The Festival year begins with our salvation. So, tomorrow night: Happy New Year!
The festivals are for those who put their trust in the blood of the Lamb for salvation.
The world’s calendar begins on Tishre 1, the 7th month on the Hebrew calendar, with Yom Teruah, the Festival of the “day and hour no man knows” because it is determined by the sighting of the new moon from Jerusalem. It is the time of shofar blowing and shouting. It begins the 10 days of awe.
Thus, when Messiah said to His disciples “no man knows the day or the hour,” He was telling them when His return would be.
Tishre 1, Yom Teruah, begins the “10 days of awe” after which He will descend on the “Day of Yahuwah” with the wrath of His Father, coming with power and might to rule. (I Corinthians 15:51-59; I Thessalonians 4:16-18 and Revelation 19)
