The Bible gives us specific dates and the signs as to how to determine Festivals. The prophet Haggai gives us the timing of when Messiah was conceived and thus when He was born 9 months later in 03 BCE. Yahuwah gives us signs of important events for us.
Yahuwah’s Word leads us to understand why a search must be made for the stage of the barley, 2 weeks before harvest, in the aviv stage, in late Shevat (February), into the 1st week of March. It determines when the month of Aviv begins so that Passover can be determined. It has to do with Exodus 9:18-32 (verse 31). Thus, astute barley searchers are search for aviv-stage spring barley each year – like Brian Convery of abibofgod.com and Devorah Gordon, “Devorah’s Date Tree.”
I’ve found that the most in-depth searcher, a believer in Yahushua/Yeshua, is Brian Convery. He was trained as a barley searcher under Nehemia and Devorah Gordon, Karaite Jews, years ago. (Karaites do not go by the rabbinic dictates)
Brian’s pictures of the barley in and around Jerusalem and etc. this year were gorgeous. Definitely we have Passover the eve of March 25th this year (2024).
The specific timing of the conception of Messiah is found in Haggai 2, giving us just when He was born in 03 BCE, September 11th – Yom Teruah. He was conceived at the time of Hanukkah in 04 BCE. Refer to: “Yahushua’s Birthday” #13 under the Mikah of Eternal Salvation.
As you slowly read the Word and allow Yahuwah’s Spirit to teach you from within, you will see how detailed His timing is, timing that is given by His prophets thousands of years ahead, but slotting exactly as He describes the circumstances.
I go on to tell about the two calendars: The creation calendar of Tishre, and the “for you” calendar of Exodus 12:1-2. The “for you” is repeated twice – the calendar is “for you,” speaking to the children of Jacob/Israel of which all believers belong by natural DNA or by being grafted in to the lineage by faith in Messiah’s death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sin and eternal life.
