Also, adding a note to report that the new moon was sighted from Israel, including in Jerusalem, on the night of January 18th. So the first day of Sh’vat was January 19th. A really good site of Messianic believers is whenisthenewmoon.com, manned by Brother Mark Harris. Did you blow your shofar?
I used to speak at new moon celebrations in the U.S., “Rosh Chodesh” celebrations. I loved them. People would gather for a big dinner, then the message, then the shofar blowing for the new moon as sighted, then there was the Hebrew dancing and a lot of good fellowship. When I lived in Jordan, our group celebrated each renewed month with dinner, fellowship, and then the required offerings (minus the animal sacrifice) of frankincense, grain, and the drink offerings (Leviticus 2, Numbers 28:11-15, and Psalm 81:1-3).
May you be blessed in the midst of this “raging insanity” that II Timothy 3 prophesied–which is what we are witnessing in our face worldwide. Let us increase in faith, joy, peace, and love—and all the fruit of the re-born spirit–and be clothed with the armor of His Might! Yahuwah is our refuge and our strength!
