Greetings:
This is an article AND ALSO the transcript of Podcast XXXVII–both are entitled: “Preparing for Tribulation – Based on a Faith-Building Letter by Corrie Ten Boom in 1974.”
This article is posted under the Mikvah of the Heart of Elohim. It is #64. Or, refer to “Recent Articles” on the main page. The article has some special pictures in it, and quotes of Corrie’s that are powerful. She and her sister were in a Nazi concentration camp in Germany. Betsy died. Corrie was released later due to a “clerical error,” just a few days before all those in her age group were executed. You might know Corrie’s story from the book and movie The Hiding Place.
But, I encourage you to listen to the podcast of this also, since I often say things in speaking that the Spirit anoints me to say on the spur of the moment. This is actually a continuation of Part II of Podcast XXXVI on January 7, 2018, during which I read a letter from persecuted Chinese believers to believers in Western culture.
FROM THE PODCAST INTRODUCTION: Let me share something personal with you: Abba has sort of surprised me by giving me a stern mandate to prepare His people for tribulation.
In the late 1980s, I was in an evening service at my church–it was a “communion service.” I had spent two years teaching on end-time prophecy in a special class each week on Sunday evenings before the church service. I had given the people everything I knew to give them comparing prophecy with current events. The Pastor attended also – Brother Harold Nichols of Grace Temple, Fort Worth, Texas.
Brother Harold and his wife, Lou, were like dad and mom to me–dear friends that I loved. It was Brother Nichols who recommended me for my ordination in 1990 with an affiliate group to the Assembly of God. Wonderful people!
Anyway … while the “wafers” were being passed for the communion service, I cried out in silent in prayer to Abba: “I’ve given them everything You have told me to teach them, now what do?” Upon saying that, instantly, I heard the booming voice of Yahuwah say to me: “PREPARE MY PEOPLE FOR TABERNACLES.” I knew what that meant. Since 1962 I knew about Abba’s Festivals that were the backbone of the plan of salvation, and how each one of the seven represented one of the segments of Yahushua’s salvation. I had taught on the “typology” of the Festivals since the 1960s. I knew that “tabernacles” was the final one – representing the Kingdom of Messiah on earth. So what He was commanding me to do was to prepare the hearts of His people to receive His Son! I began doing that, and have not let up since. Of course in the mid-1990s that included teaching the Torah of Yahuwah – the instructions for right standing with Him in that Kingdom!
This time, He didn’t speak audibly with a booming voice, only in the usual way of impression to the spirit – but a strong impression! “PREPARE MY PEOPLE FOR TRIBULATION!” The raking of the “tribulum” must precede the coming of Messiah!
In Acts 14:22, Sha’ul told the elders at Antioch: “It is through much tribulation that we enter the Kingdom of heaven.”
Folks, we’ve got to get ready fast! Corrie speaks of how to do this in the letter.
We’ve been taught in Western culture to be self-willed and to plan our lives around what pleases us. But, good servants of Yahushua are submitted to a Master, and are prepared to do as He says. Thus, they can expect His protection! We can’t spout the promises of Psalm 91, if we’re not securely fastened inside Psalm 91:1.
We got to pull the weeds! Abba spoke to me about this last night. He doesn’t sleep, so sometimes He doesn’t consider that we need sleep either (smile). He said that we can cut the grass in our front yard down to ground level, and all the weeds in the grass will get cut down too. It looks real nice for a few days, like a lush carpet. But, the weeds grow faster than the grass and so it looks ragged pretty quick. The only way to get rid of weeds it to dig them out by the roots, or pay a gardener to do it (another smile). If you don’t have grass, it’s the same with a garden – weeds choke out the good.
We grow a lot weeds during our lives, and we try to hide them among our nice surface-grass. But, we’ve got to dig out the weeds – weeds of sin, rebellion, self-centeredness, stubbornness, bitterness, hurt, unforgiveness, etc., because they’re subtly choking us. It’s either weeds or no weeds – that is the choice.
Revelation 7, 8, and 9, talks about a time when all the green things will be burned with fire, and only those with the seal of Yahuwah on their foreheads won’t be touched by the burning. Since everything in our lives will be tried by the fire of tribulation, we can’t have anything in us that will burn! We have to stay green in the time of fire, as Jeremiah 17 tells us!
I wrote an article in July 2011 entitled “Green Leaf in Drought Time,” use the “search” tab to locate this one. From that article: Jeremiah 17:5-8 puts it like this: “…Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm of support, and whose heart turns away from Yahuwah. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land that is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahuwah and whose trust is Yahuwah. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and does not see when heat comes. AND HIS LEAF SHALL BE GREEN, AND IN THE YEAR OF DROUGHT HE IS NOT ANXIOUS, NOR DOES HE CEASE FROM YIELDING FRUIT.”
We can maintain our freshness and vibrancy, our joy, peace, and strength – our “greenness” that imparts life into the air and to the body of Messiah, IF we get rid of what is killing our spirit – the weeds. In Matthew 13, we know them as “the tares!”
This is a very encouraging article and podcast. Be sure to share these things with Christians and messianic folk – and with the lost. “Seculars” are sometimes a lot wiser and understanding than religious folk. The hardest to share truth with are the religious!
Articles that give hope probably won’t offend the lost, and may draw them to the Savior. People need hope today! They need answers that are simple and totally NOT religious! This podcast, for example, with Corrie Ten Boom’s message, gives hope across board to all who will receive its message. The Letter to believers from China is in the same category. Those that get offended are usually trying to hide their guilt – they know the truth but they are running from it.
“Gird up the loins of your mind, be sober and hope to the end for the favor that is to be brought to you at the revealing of Yahushua ha Machiach…as He who has called you is set-apart, so be set-apart in all manner of life, for it has been written `be set-apart, for I am set apart” (I Peter 1:13, 15-16)
Shalom, in His love,
Yedidah – January 12, 2017
