This is an announcement of both a podcast and its transcript article.
The podcast is XXXV under Audio Teachings. It is entitled: “Hanukkah – A Prophetic Mount Carmel for Our Day.”
Podcast XXXV is in two parts. Want to know why? Honesty: I was sailing along with Podcast I, when all of sudden I needed to cough. But, I accidently hit the wrong button and stopped the podcast, sending it to “publish.” Instead of redoing the first part, I just made a Part II (smile) I think Part II is more relaxed and edifying than Part I. Yahuwah reigns!
Part I tells the history of Hanukkah, about Messiah and Hanukkah, gets a little into the roots of Christianity. Part II turns to personal exhortation and encouragement, and compares Hanukkah to Eliyahu/Elijah on Mount Carmel. It’s all about set-apartness! In Podcast Part II, I speak freely as if speaking to each one of you with personal encouragement and edification, also explaining the meaning of John 17:21. Enjoy both parts!! Rejoice in the reality of who you are in Elohim!!

I encourage you to read my recent article, “Cocoon – A Special Message for Hanukkah,” and my edited article from 2014 “Hanukkah,” which gives a lot more, plus it exposes spurious traditions of Jews in celebrating Hanukkah that are not supported by historic factual.
We want to celebrate the Festivals with Scriptural and historical accuracy! No need to waste our time on “takkanot” (traditions of man), or out-right kabalistic myths. Beware! The deceptions of Satan are found in all religions. Speaking for His Father, Yahushua said that traditions of man nullify the Word of Yahuwah. (Mark 7:5-13)
Each of these three articles, and the podcast, are different–each look at Hanukkah from different perspectives. Enjoy the holiday, but learn from it, too. It is not just a fun time to light candles, have parties and give gifts! It is a time to take sides against the enemy and go forth with boldness in the Name of Yahuwah and of Yahushua, grounding ourselves in the might of His power, wearing the spiritual armor of the High Priest. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
The events leading up to Hanukkah, the re-dedication of the Temple, were events that divided between the Jews that remained loyal to Yahuwah and the Jews who defected to Greek culture and pagan religion, who, out of fear, became “Hellenized.” Today, the events surrounding Hanukkah present a Mount Carmel experience for each one of Abba’s children.
The recommend you listen to Derek’ Hanukkah message along with his good report about his son, and his own life. He podcasted it on Shabbat, December 16th, on his website: thewelltroddenroad.org. He and I didn’t compare notes, but we each spoke on John 10.
