Shalom, Blessings!
“For the Joy Set Before Him He Endured the Stake” is #17.0 under the Mikvah of Eternal Salvation, or Recent Articles on the main page.
This article is borne out of an awesome revelation that Yahuwah gave to Derek Townsend this last Shabbat regarding John 19:25-30 and Hebrews 12:2.
What did Yahushua see “before Him,” in His physical eyesight, that gave Him the courage to endure the suffering for our sins? When I read what Derek wrote, icy chills began bursting forth from my spirit and flooded my whole upper body.
Then while I was writing out this 3-page article with Derek’s revelation, Abba gave me a revelation that corresponds to the same time-period before Messiah died. Yahushua realized that the work of redemption had been accomplished. He asked for sour wine. Upon sipping a speck of it, He cried out “It Is Finished!” Then He released His spirit. Why did He ask for the wine? Read the article. it’s amazing to me, and it gives me more chills just to think of it.
We are at a time when our personal relationship with Yahuwah and Yahushua must be “embedded in flint rock” so to speak, so that we hear the Spirit of Yahuwah clearly, understand what we’re to do, and obey. Messiah knew before hand that His work was finished and it was time to move on to other things, like going to Paradise, then rising from the dead.
In this article you’ll see what grabbed His mind and spirit as He prepared to release His spirit. He did not die from the “crucifixion.” He died willingly after bearing our sins, thus paying the punishment we deserved. He declared it “Paid in Full,” which is what the Greek word means for “It is Finished.”
It is by “the word of our testimony” and “the blood of the Lamb” that we overcome the powers of darkness. We are entering a time of great tribulation, and to overcome all we must know Him personally like Yochanan/John the disciple – Apostle did.
In His love,
Yedidah
