Podcast LXIII: The Life and Times of Eliyahu the Prophet I Kings 17

Greetings:

I have begun a new podcast series. This first one is “Podcast LXIII: The Life and Times of Eliyahu the Prophet I Kings 17.” This is an outgrowth of the article sent yesterday: “The Great and Final Transition,” under the Mikvah of the Great Adventure, or Recent articles.

There will probably be at least three more in this series because it is amazing how much Scripture is dedicated to Eliyahu.

I listened to this podcast of I Kings 17. I had to laugh several times. A few times I sounded like the “Absent Minded Professor.” But, I have a good sense of humor, so smile with me! This podcast is totally “candid.”

Eliyahu is his Hebrew name. It means “My Elohim is Yahuwah.” The English is Elijah.

But, there was no “J” in the English alphabet back before about 500 years ago. At the time of the early printing presses, a “trick” was pulled to erase the Hebrew from the Word, and the Greek to at times.

In translating into English, non-Hebrew names replaced the Hebrew names. Yeshayahu became Isaiah. Yermiyahu became Jeremiah. Yochanan became John. Ya’cob became James. Yude became Jude. Shimon Kepha became Peter, and on and on.

About 500 years ago, by putting a left-handed “tail” on the Greek “I” Iesous became Jesus in English. The letter produce by the “tail” created the letter “J,”–a letter whose sound was already covered by the letter “G,” as in Geoffrey. It was a new letter not related to any other letter in any other language.

Great pains were taken by the Hebrew-hating Greco-Roman church leaders to erase the Hebrew Name of our Messiah, whom the Jews wrote in their Talmud as Yehoshua (Yahushua) from the Hebrew yud, hey, waw, shin, ayin. The name Yehoshua means “Yahuwah is salvation”. Messiah’s Name means “Yahuwah is salvation.” He came in His Father’s Name: Yahuwah. Every Hebrew Name has a meaning! My word to all is: If you want to know His Name – ASK HIM! If you know Him, then He is your Teacher!

When I was in Haifa, I wanting to go to the area where the I Kings 18 “contest” took place on Mount Carmel. I asked a taxi driver to take me to the hill of EliJah. He looked “blank,” as in “no comprende.” I said, “Eliyahu.” He smiled and said, “Oh yes, Eliyahu” and took me to the top of Mount Carmel. There is no “J” in Hebrew.

I was on my own that day. I had planned to go to Mount Carmel and then take a bus to Megiddo before returning to where I was staying in Ariel, Israel. But, after leaving Mount Carmel I got lost, so I could not go to Megiddo as planned. Upon arriving back in Ariel, I heard on the news that Bus 19 had been blown up near Megiddo in a terrorist attack. It was full of IDF soldiers and other Israelis–everyone was killed. It happened when I had scheduled myself to go on the bus to Megiddo. I know that Abba got me lost on the way back from Mount Carmel so that I would not be on Bus 19. Thank you Abba!

In this first series on Eliyahu, I give my own experiences at the very place where Eliyahu went up to heaven (II Kings 2)–the very place where Eliyahu sat by the Brook Cherith (I Kings 17:1-7), the very place Joshua and the children of Israel crossed into the Promised Land (Joshua 3), the very place where Yochanan the Baptizer/Immerser was baptizing “beyond the Jordan,” (John 1:28-29), the very place where Messiah was baptized and from where He went into the Plains of Moab for 40 days of fasting, (Matthew 4), the very place Messiah was tested by Satan and from where He returned to begin His ministry. From Bethabara, He crossed over the Jordan and entered the Land at the very place where the Hebrews entered under Joshua.

I am very excited about this study! Eliyahu has been very dear to me for a long time. I Kings 17 is the beginning of his story. I visited that place twice while I lived in Jordan, and then later went to the area of the ruins of Tishbe. I relate personal things, but I always tie them into things from past to present, relating how you, as a servant of Yahuwah, can have the same power and authority by the Spirit, as you walk in the steps of those who have gone before us. I share to encourage you to press forward and get excited about what He wants to do with you! I have no intension to lift up myself! I am a servant of a Master. But, why keep quiet about what He does, if it can edify the body of Messiah? Those that know me know I love to help promote and exalt others, exalting myself is the furtherest thing from my heart! It is time for the remnant to gather together and share what He is doing. I encourage you to share your dreams and visions and words from Abba, your impressions, and what you are seeing.

Abba kept me up last night giving me an outline for this first podcast. He has put it on my heart to do these podcasts on Eliyahu. We are in the days of Noah, but His remnant is also in the days of Eliyahu.

We each have our assigned tasks in these end days, our final assignments. I poured out my heart in the article sent last night “The Great and Final Transition.” It contains an enormous amount of information and wisdom for you, encouragement and exhortation. Please share the articles and podcasts with those who need strengthening in their faith!

Abba has finally released me to open up to His remnant as we gather together in spirit–in prayer and unity spirit-to-spirit in the love of our Abba. I want you to see what is “normal” for us in His Kingdom as His servants.

This demonically pagan Greco-Roman culture we live in, especially in the West, has taken away from most of His children the knowledge of our great privileges in walking in the Spirit. It has reduced most all to be content to living on a carnal and intellectual plain of dullness of spirit, depending on our own reasoning and on man’s “advice,” and “opinions.” How horribly boring!

My testimony of how He pulled me out of a deep pit and establishing me on the Rock can be heard in Podcast IV. I’ve made loads of awful mistakes in my life, but Abba used all of that to drive me to submit only to Him, and not rely on myself or anyone else. My faith is only strong because He’s shown me His abilities and His trustworthiness. I’ve had to depend on Him! Everything that has happened to us in our lives He will use for good. Please see how much you are loved and needed: Romans 8:28-39

I thank you so much for your prayers and financial support, as He leads you! My joy and faith are stronger than ever before. I am excited to see what He will do. He is moving fast. We must move with Him.

Are you excited? Are you on the narrow path, walking with Yahushua, daily led by the Spirit of Yahuwah? I hope so.

Shalom, in His love,

Yedidah
