Podcast LXVI: The Life and Times of Eliyahu the Prophet II Kings 1 and 2

Correction: The reference in II Kings 2 to Abraham and Yitzak on Mount Moriah is not Genesis 26—it’s Genesis 22.

The strongest anointing I’ve had in a long time happened when podcasting I Kings 18. I’ve been to the contest-site on Mount Carmel. Many times, I’ve been through the Yizre’el/Jezre’el Valley, to Megiddo, and to the ruins of Jezre’el. But, this contest on Carmel is especially dear to my heart because of all the years I’ve preached about it, and lived it.

These podcasts are not related to manmade theology, religion, opinions, nor are they taught as nice stories that are told to children in Sunday School! I share how they apply to us today. If they do not apply to us today, what’s the use of them, except for historical knowledge? But, then again, everything in the Word is related to us–for our edification, exhortation, encouragement, and instruction! The whole of the Word, as a Messianic rabbi told Michael Lake, is the Torah – for all is instruction and teaching for our good and for our right standing with our Abba, and our Beloved savior – our “good Friend,” who instructs us in the way we should go by His Spirit within us.

He is the One we must consult before making any major decision, or minor ones. In the podcast on II Kings 1 and 2, the one I did today, I talk about wisdom with doctors and prescription drugs. I wrote an article entitled “Is There No Elohim in Israel?” I talk about that … because we need to know that Yahuwah and Yahushua are “the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Sometimes Abba asks us to do little things we think strange, like what to fix for dinner, something we had not thought of, and then we find out it is the favorite dinner of the guests we’ve invited. He is extremely practical.

In Podcast LXVI I chuckle in a few places, not because I’m laughing at the text, but smiling at the down-to-earth reporting on real humans who knew Elohim. I am really enjoying this series on Eliyahu! There will probably be two more podcasts at least.

I thank you for your prayers! And, by obeying what the Master has led some of you to do in sending me gifts to help me financially in the first stage of my transition into my final instructions, I now have enough to put a large down payment on a car, or to pay most all of the price, without getting into my savings for the next stage of transition. Thank you for your obedience and your love! I will be going to get a car the first of this next week. I have a price ceiling, and Abba has just what I need already picked out.

As with Eliyahu in I Kings 19, at this point in time, we are all in an in-between state between fleeing from Jezebel (Revelation 17) the Babylonian system, being set-apart to Elohim, and receiving our final instructions for our final assignments before Messiah comes to take us up in a “whirlwind” as He descends.

Blessings, shalom, love,

Yedidah
