How do you think Daniel felt when he was told he was going to be thrown into the den of lions? Well, you notice they didn’t freak out and deny their Eloah. Because they were prepared in mind, emotions, and especially in their spirit by loyalty to the God of Israel, they faced it by putting their full trust in Him. They had the Psalm of David. They had the Torah. They understood His power and might. They understand that their Deity was the Most High, the Almighty, and the gods of Babylon and then Media-Persia, were nothing.
