This is a very important message! It is a powerful message from our Abba to us. Without Messiah’s “Not My will be Yours be done” in the Garden of Gethsemane, there would have been no resurrection, no salvation, no eternal life for us. The Garden of Eden would have remained closed forever to us. How much do we owe Him! He is returning with the wrath of His Father on all who have rejected His salvation. How much do we owe Him! He laid down His life for us. How much do we owe Him! Oh the joy of giving Him our life without reservation, to know Him as Master, King, and Beloved Friend!
I visited the Garden of Eden area of East Jerusalem, walking all over that area, at least 120 times, maybe more, during my 16 years of living in the Middle East. I even walked the steep hill to the top of the Mount of Olives several times. Within the Garden of Eden is the Garden of Gethsemane – “the olive press.” A small part of it is still there, with olive trees 2,000 years old. For me to have the privilege of sitting in a Garden on Mount Zion, the City of David, below the palace of King David was always so great a privilege, especially when I shared that privilege with my son. It was there in 2011 that his whole life changed to set him on the path to the narrow gate. I quote him in two recent e-mails in this article.
