Here I give you a brief overview and some Scriptures to read regarding it. But, I know you will be following up on this via your own news sources.
It is historic! How it affects the world will soon be known. Trump declared Jerusalem to the capital of Israel, and said that he will begin the process of moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. But, already, the world’s Muslim leaders, including the pope, are enraged. I include in this brief overview the recent travel advisory put out by the U.S. warning its citizens about the dangers in Jerusalem.
I well know the dangers of Jerusalem. I’ve been there many times during rages, upheavals, and violence by Palestinians, with IDF soldiers everywhere with guns, and even the shutting off of the Old City entirely. But, as Zechariah 12:2-3 tells us, ancient Jerusalem will be a cup of trembling – East Jerusalem, Biblical Jerusalem. Israel as a whole has been in turmoil since May 14, 1948, and it will be until Messiah returns.
